16 So the people went out and plundered the camp of the Arameans. Then a [a]seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel and two [b]seahs of barley for a shekel, (A)according to the word of Yahweh. 17 Now the king appointed (B)the royal officer on whose hand he leaned [c]to have charge of the gate; but the people trampled on him at the gate, and he died just as the man of God had spoken, (C)who spoke when the king came down to him. 18 So it happened just as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, “(D)Two [d]seahs of barley for a shekel and a [e]seah of fine flour for a shekel will be sold tomorrow about this time at the gate of Samaria.”
